"what remains..." was the final performance as part of my graduation in the Master's program in Performance Studies. I was working with memories and anecdotes from Syria before the outbreak of war in 2011. The performance investigates the relationship between memory and destruction. It explores the role of uninvolved artists through choreographic approaches to the shock produced by media images. It questions the potential of art when dealing with such conflicts. And it attempts to create a collective reading experience initiated through dance.
