For the 2025 M.1 Summer Assembly, I was honored to translate several poems by hn. lyonga. He developed the format "there is a table in this house", which is a specific type of gathering, experiencing, and performing poetry. As this event was supposed to be accessible to a German-speaking audience as well, I translated the following works from English to German:

• An Alchemy of Future Memories
• A prayer for a time in the future
• Bimbia
• we. as we are. A MANIFESTO.
• I am saying
Translating poetry is always a bit of a stretch. I usually avoid literal transposals and try to capture and transmit the poetic meaning rather than the literal wording. For more information or text excerpts, please use the contact form.
